The nutrients you consume on a day-to-day basis affect the way your skin feels and looks. Join AdventHealth’s Dr. Monique Kumar\, a board-certified and fellowship-trained pediatric dermatologist\, and Allison Harrell\, Registered Dietitian and Culinary Medicine Specialist\, as they share more about optimal nutrition for skin care. Plus\, you will get to taste some delicious dishes to support your skin care routine. \nYou have two options for attending this program – save your seat in the Nutrition Theatre or click here to register for our free webinar and watch it from home. Whether you’re watching from inside the Nutrition Theatre or from home\, you’ll also have the opportunity to share your questions and comments with Allison and Dr. Kumar during the program. \nThis program is perfect for teens or anyone wanting to improve the health and appearance of their skin. \nThis is a demonstration-style cooking program\, so our in-person attendees should prepare to sit back\, relax and let our chef prepare the meal while you enjoy the delicious items. All attendees\, both online and in-person\, will receive a booklet for specific recipes TBA. They can be very therapeutic because you are literally bathed in sound waves\, where you will enter a state of deep relaxation. Sound baths help facilitate shifts in our brainwaves by using entrainment. Entrainment synchronizes our brainwaves by providing a stable frequency which the brainwaves can attune to. By listening to the rhythm and frequencies of the crystal bowls\, we can downshift our normal beta state (normal waking consciousness) to alpha (relaxed consciousness) and even reach theta (meditative state) where profound learning\, healing and growth can occur. \nThis sound healing experience is designed to clear and release negative energy\, open your heart\, and promote a quieter state of mind. The harmonious sounds are created to support your body’s natural healing processes while you recline on blankets and pillows. After the session\, you’ll leave feeling mentally and physically rested\, ready to enjoy the peace and tranquility of a healthy mind\, body and spirit. \nSpecial Instructions: Attendees can sit in a chair or on the floor for this program. Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat\, towel\, or small blanket; chairs will be available for those who prefer to use one. The room can also be cool during this program\, so cold-sensitive participants may also want to bring a light jacket or sweater. All attendees are also encouraged to bring their own bottles of water. \nThis program is presented by Camille Sacco and hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation. \nAbout the Program Presenter \nCamille Sacco is an American Institute of Health Care Professionals Mindfulness Coach and meditation instructor.
