If you cannot attend all four sessions\, please allow someone else to register for this limited-capacity program. \nAre you puzzled by your dreams? With Judy Minear\, a projective dream work expert with almost a decade of experience in dream group facilitation\, you’ll unpack the symbolic language of the “theater of the night.” Over the course of four group sessions\, you will build on the basic tenet that all dreams come in the service of health and wholeness. As you mine the wisdom expressed in your dreams\, you’ll build a better relationship with yourself and others. Dreams offer guidance\, clues\, inspiration and multiple meanings. The group process provides a supportive path to unearth the clues from our own unconscious. \nIn this series\, you can expect to learn: \n• How to improve dream recall \n• Two methods of working a dream \n• How to tap into the depths of symbols \n  \nProgram notes: Please bring notes about a recent dream to class\, even if it is a fragment. The class is based on the seminal work of Jeremy Taylor. His book “The Wisdom of Your Dreams” is helpful but not necessary. \nThis program is presented by Judy Minear and is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation. \nAbout Your Program Presenter \nJudy Minear has participated in Dream groups for over 20 years. She attended the annual Haden Summer Dream Conference for seven years. She has been the current facilitator for an ongoing dream group for seven years. She studied with Jeremy Taylor as well as others who have been instrumental in the International Association for the Study of Dreams. She credits her curiosity for her deep interest in dreams. Unpacking dream symbols and working with shadows feels like a calling to her. After multiple experiences in Egypt\, she developed an active interest in the mysteries. She has offered this class at the Rollins STARS venue as well as the Winter Park Library. She brings a deep understanding as well as a warmth and a sense of humor to the process of Projective Dream Work. Learning about proven strategies\, philosophies\, and best practices will empower you to make positive\, meaningful\, and most importantly\, lasting changes to your lifestyle. \nThis special series\, presented in collaboration between the Winter Park Health Foundation and AdventHealth\, is designed to give you the tools you need to get started on this journey. Throughout this seven-week series of workshops\, you’ll learn the latest in healthy living research from those studying it deeply – AdventHealth University Community Health Nursing students. \nEach week\, the NURS440 students\, in collaboration with their instructors\, these future leaders in health care will present the latest information on health-related topics\, organized under the umbrella of the renowned CREATION Health principles. Each session will also kick off with useful screenings\, such as blood pressure\, heart rate\, oxygen saturation\, etc. \nWe invite you to join us for one\, two or all seven of these interactive sessions\, held in the Center for Health & Wellbeing’s Healthy Living Experience\, and start improving your health today. The sessions will follow this schedule: \n\nSeptember 22: Choice\nSeptember 29: Rest (rescheduled for Oct. 6)\nOctober 6: Environment\nOctober 13: Activity\nOctober 20: Trust\nOctober 27: Interpersonal Relationships & Outlook\nNovember 3: Nutrition\n\nOn October 6\, we’ll focus on: Rest + Environment: \nRest is the restoration of your body\, mind and spirit. Your best rest includes a good night’s sleep and making time to relax daily\, weekly and yearly. \nWe tend to associate the word “appointment” with structured and productive events such as meetings\, check-ups and interviews. Sleep and relaxation are unstructured\, seemingly unproductive events; they seem like the opposite of appointments. Because of this\, it can be easy to think of rest as unimportant. For a whole and healthy life\, rest should be a top priority. \nRelaxation also needs a set time: daily\, weekly and annually. At each level\, the key is to choose reasonable and refreshing activities. These could be as simple as finding time to go for a walk at work or taking a day of rest each week. What is considered restful may vary from person to person\, so it is important to be genuine in your choice. \nIn this session\, learn how to recognize when it’s time to rest and get strategies for incorporating it into your everyday life. \nPlus\, Environment lies outside of your body and affects what takes place inside your body. What you perceive through your senses impacts your well-being. \nThis is true about our larger environment (the air we breathe and the water we drink) and our personal environment (light\, sound\, aroma and touch). It is easy to understand how the former affects us. Our bodies often respond in obvious ways to things that are not good for us. What is less obvious is the effect that our personal environment can have upon the mind. \nIn order to live well\, we must choose an environment that elicits positive responses from us. We have to maximize the positive and minimize the negative. \nIn this session\, learn how to create a nurturing\, healthy environment for your life.
