Learn how to utilize music\, aroma\, intuitive eating\, contemplative photography\, and tactile senses to alleviate stress and anxiety in everyday life. You’ll also learn about the 5\,4\,3\,2\,1 sensory countdown exercise that can be done in any environment. \nThis program is presented by Stetson University Department of Counselor Education and hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation. \nAbout the Presenters \nThis program will be presented by students enrolled in the Marriage\, Couple\, and Family Counseling track in Counselor Education at Stetson University in DeLand. These students are focused on learning about how significant relationships influence individual experiences and directly and indirectly affect our well-being throughout life. This program will be offered under the guidance of professor\, Jacqui Williams\, Ph.D.\, LMFT\, Assistant Professor of Practice in the Department of Counselor Education. The student presenters include: \nAlicia Harrington\nAlicia Harrington is currently on the Licensed Marriage\, Couple\, and Family Counseling track at Stetson University. She is in her practicum semester working at La Amistad Behavioral Health Services in Maitland Fl. La Amistad is systematic based in-patient residential treatment facilities for adolescents that strives to help adolescents e-establish healthy behaviors while in treatment to facilitate a successful transition back into their home\, school and community. Alicia has a strong passion for attached-based mental health issues and hopes to operate her own all-inclusive adoptions counseling clinic that specializes in helping families adopt internationally by providing social work services\, legal counsel\, financial resources\, and therapeutic services to the clients and their families. \nCaroline Goggins\nCaroline Goggins is an experienced caregiver with a demonstrated history of working with adolescents. She is pursuing a Masters degree focused in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an Advanced Study in Marriage\, Couples\, and Family Counseling from Stetson University. Her hope is to work with adolescent populations struggling with eating disorders in a residential or outpatient setting. \nTamara Pettit\nTamara Pettit is currently a graduate student at Stetson University focusing on the LMFT track. She also was a full-time high school special needs teacher for approximately 15 years. Her client focus or areas of interest include: teens\, trauma\, grief\, and veterans. She will begin practicum in the Spring\, January 2023 semester at the Presbyterian Counseling Center in Ormond Beach with a projected graduation date of December 2023. \nMason Lowe\nMason Lowe is a student at Stetson University in the masters of marriage\, couples\, and family counseling program. He has experience in trauma and drug rehabilitation after spending time working at a facility during my undergraduate work. \nAdena Labovitz\nAdena Labovitz is studying to be a Marriage\, Couples\, and Families Therapist with advanced studies in Clinical Mental Health. Adena currently works in residential substance use programs\, and she is excited to graduate this December.
